DAYTON, Ohio, June 27, 2003 –– CareSource, Ohio's largest Medicaid managed health care plan, won a Meritorious Award for Best Practices from the Ohio Association of Health Plans at the recent OAHP annual convention and trade show in Columbus.

CareSource won the award for its CareSource 24 program which provides an integrated approach to serving consumers, including an around-the-clock nurse hotline and comprehensive, coordinated service via telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

“We are proud to have received this award,” said Pamela Morris, CareSource President and CEO. “Our CareSource 24 program is testimony to our dedication to provide the best possible service for our consumers.”

CareSource competed against health plans across Ohio for this recognition. The panel of judges included community health and medical professionals as well as state legislators.
